We are passionate about making life on the water accessible to all. Through our partnerships, we create opportunities for more people to get involved, discover new experiences and enjoy the water. At the heart of it all are our amazing volunteers. Their enthusiasm and dedication keep the Club thriving, both on and off the water. No experience needed. Everyone’s welcome. Come and get involved!
Sailing Events
There are many volunteer roles involved in running our sailing programme and events. We provide training and qualifications in areas including race management, safety boat duties, first aid and race coaching, making volunteering with us a great opportunity to learn new skills.
Get On the Water is our free eight-week training programme for volunteers who want to support our activities on the water.
Wednesday Junior Sailing
Our award-winning community programme for 8–18-year-olds helps young people build confidence, develop teamwork and learn valuable skills for life, both on and off the water.
We rely on volunteers to make this programme a success, with plenty of opportunities to get involved both on and off the water. Our volunteers make a real difference in the community, giving local children the chance to experience the joy of sailing, learn valuable seamanship skills, make friends and have fun.
Lymington Sailability
Lymington Sailability provides accessible sailing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Operating from the Royal Lymington Yacht Club as an Affiliated Member, it offers a welcoming environment where participants can enjoy time on the water, build confidence and experience the benefits of sailing, supported by trained volunteers.
Ashore
Throughout the year, we run a variety of events ashore, with our wonderful volunteers helping to prepare and deliver them. We also have volunteers who assist with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our Clubhouse.
