Activities
While boating is at the heart of what we do, our Members regularly come together to enjoy a wide range of other activities. Details of upcoming classes and events can be found in the Club calendar, on Clubhouse noticeboards and through the Club’s WhatsApp group and Member emails.
Photography
Members can develop their photographic knowledge, techniques and creativity in a relaxed and friendly environment. Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to experienced photographers, with no restrictions on the type of camera or photographic equipment used.
Yoga
Yoga classes for Members are held at the Club on Monday and Friday mornings.
Art
Art classes are held at the Club on Wednesday afternoons throughout the winter months. Whether you are an experienced artist or simply looking to develop your skills, everyone is welcome. Our annual Art Exhibition takes place in November, showcasing a wonderful selection of artwork created by our talented Members.
Book Club
The Book Club meets monthly to discuss a wide range of books in a friendly and relaxed setting.
Cycling
The Wheelies Cycling Group meets every Friday morning throughout the year, offering two groups to suit different interests and abilities. Routes vary, starting either at the Club or from a New Forest car park, with the option of finishing at a local pub or back at the Club for lunch. Everyone is welcome, and electric bikes are welcome too!
Bridge
Bridge classes are held at the Club on Mondays throughout the winter season. Lessons are available for both beginners and those looking to improve their game.
Flower Arranging
Throughout the year, beautiful flower arrangements brighten the Club, thanks to the creativity and dedication of a talented team of Members.
Walking
The Club's Scow Division organises weekly walks on Thursday mornings throughout the winter. Each walk is led by a different volunteer, with varied starting points and routes. For the Striders, the walks last between 1½ and 2 hours. For those who prefer a gentler pace, the Strollers group offers a shorter route. Both groups finish at the same local pub, where walkers can enjoy lunch together.
